Phyllis Medford

Waynesville-Phyllis Morrow Medford, age 73, of 67 Loving Way, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Vinson A. and Grace McElroy Morrow. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Milton L. Morrow. She loved to travel and enjoyed watching wildlife and was a member of Cove Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Twila and her husband, Steve Muse, of Waynesville; a son, Robert Medford, and his wife, Wanda, of Raleigh; a brother, James L. Morrow, of Waynesville; and a special friend, Kim Bowen, and her family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2006 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
