Peggy Putnam

Waynesville, Peggy Simonds Putnam, age 62, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Harold Simonds and Janie Cline and was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Simonds. Peggy worked as a caregiver for the handicapped and loved to read, especially romance novels. She had even written some of her own romance novels and had a dream to get one of them published. She is survived by her son, Bryan Moore and his wife, Lynn, of Lancaster, South Carolina; a daughter, Elizabeth Moore and Theodore Papoutsis, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; one sister, Deena Schmidt and her husband, John, of Clyde; one brother, Lee Clinton Simonds and his wife, Feliece, of Canton; six grandchildren, Thematra Papoutsis, Jaylon Jezierski and Cecilia Papoutisis, and Hannah, Georgia, and Drew Moore; and many nieces and nephews. Private family burial services were held.
