Peggy Presnell

Waynesville – Peggy Louise Fleming Presnell, 74, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

Peggy was a native of Madison County and a daughter of the late Harvey and Reva Seay Fleming.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four half-brothers, Plato, Roy “Shug”, Russell and Sam; two half-sisters, Mary and Louetta; four brothers, Shad, Hugh, Tillman and Eugene; and four sisters, Aileen, Zeta, Corena and Judy.  Peggy was a servant of the Lord and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.  She was an excellent homemaker and she enjoyed crafts, canning, cooking, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ernest Presnell, Jr.; three daughters and their husbands, Angela Kilby (Rev. Pat), Reva McFalls (Ron), and Christy McGee (Tracy); one son, James Presnell; two sisters, Ruth Holt and Cecil Davis (Eugene); one brother, Delmar Fleming; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2020 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Kenneth Rhinehart, Reverend Harry Worley and Reverend Walter Bryson officiating.  Burial will follow at Meadowfork Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The service will be live streamed.
