Pauline Messer

Waynesville – Pauline G. Messer, 83, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, at her residence.

Pauline was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and daughter of the late Lloyd and Pearl Conard Messer.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Green; three sisters, Margaret Sutton, Mattie and Lucille Williams.  Pauline retired from Dayco Rubber Manufacturing with 31 years of service as a flex hose inspector.  She was a member of Mauney Cove Baptist Church, an avid gardener, fantastic cook, and an amazing mother and grandmother.

She is survived by two sons, Charles (Katherine) and Randy Green; four brothers, L. J. Messer, Roy Messer (Shirley), Ben Robert Messer (Karen), and James Ray Messer (Brenda); three grandchildren, Angela, Matthew (Whittney), and Brian (Nikki); and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Tracy Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The care of Mrs. Messer has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
