Paul T. Ford, 76 of Waynesville, left this world on July 5, 2025. He was the son of Ralph and Betty Smith Ford. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Patty Ford, a sister, Linda Gregory and an infant brother.
Paul's early education culminated in his graduation from Waynesville Township High School in 1966. His passion for cars and racing led him to enjoy drag racing during his younger years, and as he matured, he found joy in watching Nascar events, a testament to his lifelong enthusiasm for automotive culture.
A dedicated family man and businessman, Paul proudly owned and operated Haywood Auto Parts for 18 years, becoming a well-respected figure within the community.
In addition to his professional achievements, Paul will be remembered for the fond memories he created throughout his life, especially the treasured time spent at Lake Chatuge with his beloved wife, Patricia. Their bond was a shining example of love and companionship, which was particularly evident until her passing in 2014.
Paul is survived by his two sons, Rodney Ford (Susan) and Donnie Ford (Michelle); his sister, Carolyn Scott; his brother, Ed Ford (Dot); and a wonderful legacy through his nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
