Patsy Rogers

Patsy Arrington Rogers, age 68, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2011, at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Ruth Snyder Arrington. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Rogers. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Patsy worked at Lays of Waynesville, Bethel Grocery, and Walmart of Waynesville. She loved taking photographs, scrapbooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charlie Rogers; two sons, Larry Rogers and his wife, Gabriel and Mike Rogers and his wife, Maria; four sisters, Joyce Trull, Linda Corn, Jean Grant, and Susie Arrington; a brother, David Arrington; six grandchildren, Brooke, Heather, Jacob, Kyle, Blake, and Allison; and a great-grandchild on the way. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Bethel Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
