Oris Balding

Oris David Balding, 82, of Candler, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 5, 2018 with his family by his side. A native of Madison County, he was the son of the late Floyd and Pauline Kent Balding. Oris was a member of Starnes Cove Baptist Church and served in the US Army. He loved his family, especially his granddaughters, and classical music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Balding.
He is survived by his loving wife, his Princess that took devoted care of him, Elizabeth Kilby Balding; sister, Veda (Jay) Elliott; granddaughters, Jessica Marchel (Ben West) and Taylor Elise (Casey Camp) Balding; daughter-in-law, Terri Balding and beloved dogs, Gracie Mae and Duffy.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30pm on Sunday, July 8 at Starnes Cove Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Sams officiating. The family will begin to receive friends at the Church at 2:00pm.
