Ollie Morgan

Waynesville, Ollie Mae Jenkins Morgan, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Autumn Care of Waynesville.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Oliver Parker and Vinnie Davis Jenkins.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Clifton Morgan who died in 2004; a son, Larry C. Morgan; and she was the last living of eleven children.  She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.  Ollie worked with Wellco for 30 years and Haywood County Tax Assessor’s office for 19 years.  She enjoyed talking with friends, enjoying Nascar and going with her husband when he made music.

Ollie is survived by a son, Garry D. Morgan (Janice), of Waynesville; a granddaughter, Jamie Kalis (Darrin): two grandsons, Coy Morgan and Ben Morgan (Julie); four great-grandchildren, Makala, Trevor, Dylan and Whitley Ann; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2019 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating.  Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
