Odie B. Dick, a loving family man passed away on January 5, 2024, at CarePartners Solace, with his family by his side. He was born on September 12, 1943.

Odie served his country with honor for 30 years as a Torpedoman's Mate in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and the Cold War. His commitment to his duties was exemplary, and he rose through the ranks to retire as a Chief Petty Officer.

Throughout his life, Odie had a strong and dedicated personality. He lived a life of adventure and experienced all that the world had to offer. Odie had a deep love and appreciation for his family, which he held dear throughout his journey.  He cherished every moment spent with them. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered in their hearts forever.

Odie B. Dick is preceded in death by his parents, Odie B. Dick Sr. and Kathryn Boyd Dick, one sister and one brother.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 33 years, Gail Dick, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together they built a foundation of love that will forever endure.

Odie leaves behind three loving children: Wendy Steen (Ronnie), Valerie Tucker; and Terry Ward (Michelle). He also cherished the time spent with his nine grandchildren: Heather Adams, Alicia Steen, Laurie Steen, Chad Adams, Zachary Ward, Alex Ward, Nikki Tucker, Brandon Tucker, and Kristy Stewart. Additionally, he adored his nine great-grandchildren.

Chief Dick will be remembered as a family man and a military veteran.  May his soul find eternal peace, and may his legacy inspire us all to value our loved ones as deeply as he did.

Graveside service will be held in Pensacola, FL at the Barrancas National Cemetery.
