Hendersonville, Nichols Hal Little, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at his residence.
A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Hal Nichols Little and Dorothy Brigman Little. Nichols was a far from ordinary husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. When we remember Nich, we are filled with thoughts of his love for mother nature, and spending time there with the people he valued most. Any given weekend had potential for adventure, from a simple hike through the woods or weekend camping trip to the lake to all out-cliff diving and motorcycle stunts. Nich was a true motivator and always pushed those around him to be their best. As a young man, he excelled in the trade of welding leading him to more adventures, from the cliff side walkways in Chimney Rock, NC to the BMW manufacturing plant in Munich Germany. He will always be remembered for his caring nature and beautiful kind soul.
Nichols is survived by his wife of 24 years, Fran Little, of Flat Rock; daughter, Samantha Little, of Hendersonville; son, Zach Little, of Waynesville; three sisters, Sherrie Rumbough, of Candler, Kim Lee, and her husband David, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Melissa Brock, of Waynesville; brother, Jody Little and his wife, Sherry, of Laurens, South Carolina, and acquired brother, Ben Brock; two amazing grandchildren, Rowan and Hal Little; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Candler Lions Club, C/O Tony Dezio, 16 Old Spring Dr. Candler, NC 28715.
The care of Mr. Little has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville and an online memorial register is available at "Obituaries" at www.wellsfuneralhome.com
