Neva Elaine McCall Eller, a beloved member of the Candler community, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, in the comfort of her home at the age of 75. Born on February 12, 1950, in Buncombe County, Neva dedicated her life to her family and her faith, leaving a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion.
For 30 years, Neva devoted her professional life to Gerber until the plant's closure, after which she continued to serve her community by working at Goodwill Industries for another decade before her well-earned retirement. Neva was known for her strong work ethic and commitment to her roles, setting an example for those around her.
An active member of Pole Creek Baptist Church and a devout Christian, Neva found joy in her faith and was passionate about sharing it with her family, especially her beloved grandbabies. She cherished every moment spent with them and took pride in involving them in church activities, fostering a sense of community and spirituality among the younger generation.
Beyond her nurturing spirit, Neva was an avid bowler and held a deep appreciation for watching golf on television, enjoying the simple pleasures that life had to offer.
Neva leaves behind her Godson, Steven Perry and his wife, Tina, of Candler; her brother, Walter McCall of Kansas; and her cherished grandchildren, Trinity Riddle, Graci Waddell, Reagan Perry, and Fiona Perry. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Eller, who passed away in April 2015; as well as her parents, Otis and Carolyn Whitted McCall.
The family invites all who knew and loved Elaine to celebrate her life during the visitation on May 6, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM, both held at Pole Creek Baptist Church located at 96 Snow Hill Church Rd, Candler, NC 28715. Pastor Steve Schultz will be officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler.
Neva Elaine McCall Eller will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her indomitable spirit and unwavering dedication to her family and faith remain a source of inspiration and comfort to her loved ones as they navigate life without her.
The care of Mrs. Eller has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
