Ned Duckett

Waynesville, Ned Denzil Duckett, age 78, of Dewberry Lane, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Brian Center of Waynesville. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the son of the late Narvil and Pearl Owen Duckett. He was also preceeded in death by a brother, William Robert Duckett, who passed away in 1976. He was retired from Powell Lumber Company. He is survived by a nephew, Will Duckett and his wife, Linda, of Waynesville; two nieces, Donna Silvers and her husband, Dewayne, of Waynesville and Wanda Campbell and her husband, Bart, of Maggie Valley; three great nephews, Jason Duckett, Adam Silvers and Cody Campbell, three great nieces, Dani and Colby Silvers and Kayla Campbell. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 31, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville with Reverend Charles Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Allison Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
