N. Moody

N. D. "Paw" Moody, age 71, of 23 Ferguson Street died Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a son of the late Edgar and Georgia Jolly Moody. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Martha Moody Sorrells. He retired from BASF in 1994 after 30 years of service. In addition to his wife of 50 years, Evelyn Campbell Moody, he is survived by a daughter, Brenda Moody Roper of Charleston, SC; a son, Darren Moody and his wife, Lisa of Tampa, FL; three grandchildren, Donnie Smathers and his wife, Kendra of Canton, Stephanie Smathers of Charleston, SC and Tyler Moody of Tampa, FL and a great grandson, William Smathers of Canton. Private memorial services will be held at a later date, however, the family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15 at the home. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Canton is in charge of arrangements. The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216 or to a charity of one's choice.
