Myrtle Drucilla Reed

Asheville, Myrtle Drucilla Reed, 76, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Laurels of Summit Ridge.

A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late, Howard and Mary Shope Bradley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Causey and Martha Clark.  Myrtle graduated from Owens High School and worked at Dairy Queen and was a Store Manager for Denny’s prior to becoming a caregiver.  She had a strong Christian Faith and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Myrtle is survived by two daughters, Andy Oliver (Frankie) and Lindy Gibson (Brooks); four grandchildren, Autumn and Valerie Oliver and Hannah and Gabriel Gibson; one great-grandson, Samuel Wood.

No formal services will be held.
