Myrtle Medford

Waynesville-Myrtle M. Medford, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at the Brian Center. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late A.B. and Annie K. Williams Medford. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Lou, Ida and Nelllie and three brothers, Glenn, Enloe, and Boone Medford. Ms. Medford was employed by American Enka Corportation before retiring. She was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by two sisters, Allie Jordan of Robinsville, NC and Verna Chapman of Waynesville; a very special niece, Polly Walker, of Marietta, GA; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2007 at Green Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Eddie Dietz officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
