Mollie Lee Parton Price, 94, passed away peacefully September 29, 2026, in Buncombe County, North Carolina, following an extended illness. A native of Haywood County, she was born on June 16, 1932, in Haywood County, North Carolina, to the late Dewey and Easter Parton.

Mollie married the love of her life, Jack, in 1962. Mollie lived a long life marked by the quiet significance of family, faith, and love. Her passing closes a life that stretched across generations and remained rooted in Western North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Price; 2 sisters, Annie Mae Rathbone and Rosie Taylor; and 2 brothers, James and Joe Parton.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Price (Cora); a granddaughter, Jennifer Creasman (Danny); 2 great-grandsons, Sawyer and Walker; and a sister, Hazel Metford; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. who carries forward her memory with love and gratitude.

Mollie was a quiet soul whose greatest joys were her family and providing them with a safe, loving, and welcoming home. She spent her spare time working jigsaw puzzles and thrifting and held fast to her faith with her daily Bible study and reflections.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 05, 2026, at 2pm at the Chapel of Faith at Wells Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler. Entombment will follow the services.
