Mildred Sue Randall, 78, of Clyde, NC, passed away at Haywood Regional Medical Center on Friday, May 22, 2026. She was born in Haywood County on June 7, 1947, to parents Albert and Allie Mae (Clark) Huges.

Mildred grew up in Haywood County, where she graduated from Crabtree High School. She was a humble woman who lived a quiet life, but one of deep empathy and love for her friends and family. Her empathy for others led her into a career as a CNA for Midwest Haywood. She married the love of her life, John Randall, who sadly passed away in 2011, after 45 years of marriage.

Left to mourn Mildred’s passing are her daughters, Stephanie Fisher, Lisa (Ervin) Grasty, and Nancy (Joseph) Strickland; six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, brother, David (Deanna) Hughes, and a sister Kathy (Don) Hooper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Allie Mae Hughes; her loving husband, John Randall; brother, Ralph Hughes, and a sister, Doris Ann Justice.

A Funeral Service honoring Mildred’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Fincher’s Chapel Cemetery in Clyde, NC, immediately following the service.

The care of Ms. Randall has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
