Mildred Grasty Mull passed away on January 4, 2026, at the age of 95, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 15, 1930, she lived a life full of dedication, warmth, and cherished memories. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Jarvis and Annie Arwood Grasty, her husband Enloe Mull, who passed away in 2005, her son Jerry Mull, her son-in-law Johnny Conner, and her great-grandson Taylor Conard.
Mildred's career at Haywood Regional Medical Center spanned an impressive 30 years, during which she served as a Nursing Assistant. Her commitment to caring for others was evident in every aspect of her life, showcasing her nurturing spirit in both her professional and personal endeavors.
In her free time, Mildred found joy in her hobbies; she loved to cook for her family. Additionally, her green thumb flourished as she dedicated time to growing beautiful dahlias, a testament to her creativity and appreciation for nature's beauty. She was also an avid reader, constantly exploring new worlds through literature.
Mildred is survived by her loving daughters, Hazel Heatherly (Paul), Linda Conner, and Margie Carver (Steve), as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy. Their lives are forever enriched by her influence, wisdom, and compassion.
A visitation to celebrate Mildred's life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm at the Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park following the service, allowing her family and friends the opportunity to say their final goodbyes.
