Mildred Farling

Canton - Mildred "Midge" Hodges Farling, 97, passed away at her residence on Saturday, March 17, 2018.

A native of Orlando, Florida, she was a daughter of the late John Finley and Louise Hotz Hodges. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Farling, who died in 2015 and her son, Robert, who died in 2012. Midge acquired her nickname mainly because of her petite size and many have known her for years without knowing her real name. Midge passionately loved her husband, son, and grandson. She always maintained an active role in her family and the community as well as with Cruso United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a grandson, Christopher Farling and his wife, Heather and a special caregiver, Debbie Pinkston.

The family will receive friends from 3:30 until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Wells Funeral Home in Canton. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
