Mildred Crawford

Canton – Mildred Thomason Crawford, 72, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at her residence.

Mildred was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Homer Roosevelt and Thelma Ferguson Thomason.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Crawford; a daughter, Sherry Atkins, who died in 2016; two brothers; and three sisters.  Mildred worked at Park Ridge Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist and was a lifelong member of Burnette Cove Baptist Church where she was pianist.

She is survived by a son, Mark Crawford (Barbara) of Canton; four grandchildren, Brouke Atkins, Faith Crawford, Alex and Aaron Russ; and two great-grandchildren, Reagan and Emma Russ.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Scotty Rollins officiating.  Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Road.  The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The care of Mrs. Crawford has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Canton.
