Mildred Buice

Mildred Poole Buice, 79, of Candler passed away, Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Silver Bluff Village. A native of Meriwether, GA, she was daughter of the late Jude and Fannie Carder Poole.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Buice who died in May, 1996; her sisters, Imogene Beasley, Joy Evelyn Voyles and brothers, Albert “Bud” Poole, Harold Poole, Robert “Buster” Poole and James Poole.

Mildred was an avid pet lover and she had several dogs and cats that held a special place in her heart. She was an amazing seamstress always making quilts and clothing for her family and friends.  She loved music and was a wonderful guitarist.

She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Boozer; son, Johnny Buice; sister, Claire Blevins; brother, Johnny Poole and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022 in the Wells Chapel of Faith.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
