Canton - Michele Lee, 70, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021, at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
Michele was a native of Springfield, Illinois and a daughter of the late Archur, Sr. and Doris Emma Jane Estes. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Perry Reeves Lee, who died in 2014; three sisters, Betty Ann Estes, Gloria Ackerman, and Clara Jane Lay; and three brothers, Archur R. Estes, Jr., David P. Estes, and Charles (Chuck) Estes.
Michele loved camping and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Sherri Scalf of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Patricia Cox of Canton and Emma Reeves of Hendersonville; stepdaughter, Cynthia Mullis; one son, Robert Corley and husband, Kevin, of Hendersonville; seven sisters, Barbara Furgeson, Patricia Creviston (twin), Linda Reeves, Eileen DiBartolomeo, Ruthie Estes, Connie Estes, and Doreen Stumpf; one brother, Roger Estes; ten grandchildren, Curtis Scalf, Lloyd Scalf, Timothy Scalf, Kayla Cox, Karla Cox, Amber Cox, Aaron Cox, Jacob Seay, Anthony Fuqua, and Cheyenne Muse and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday July 9, 2021 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. The family will receive friends at Wells Funeral Home in Canton from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
