Michael Wright

Michael "Mike" Lewis Wright, age 51, formerly of Canton died Thursday, April 28, 2005 in Port St. Joe, FL from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was a native of Haywood County and was a son of Guy and Frances Elliott Wright of Canton. He was a supervisor in commercial construction. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Diane Allen of Canton and Donna Carver of Waynesville; one brother, Jerry Wright of Canton ; several special nieces and nephews and three special friends, Ginger Reece and Gene Carver, and Kim Allen. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2005 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Reverend Ed Lowder officiating. Burial will follow in Morning Star Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Feed the Children, P.O. Box 36, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73101-0036 or Bethel Christian Academy, 100 Park Street, Canton, NC 28716.
