Michael Anthony Tramel

Michael Anthony Tramel, of Haywood County, passed on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in Buncombe County at the age of 69. Born on November 16, 1954 to the late Patrick and Dorothy Carver Tramel, Michael led a life filled with dedication and service to his country and community.

Michael had a fulfilling career in Industrial Warehousing where he made countless contributions over the years. His dedication and strong work ethic were evident in everything he did. He approached each task with determination and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Michael was highly respected by his colleagues and will be remembered as someone who never shied away from hard work.

In addition to his successful career, Michael also served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He proudly wore the uniform and devoted himself to defending our nation's freedom. His time in the military was marked by bravery and sacrifice, earning him the respect of his fellow servicemen and women. Michael's commitment continued even after leaving active duty as he became a valued member of the VFW Post in Somerset, Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Cory Anthony Tramel, who passed away in 2020. The loss of Cory was an immense sorrow for Michael, but his strength carried him through these difficult times.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Tim Tramel. 

Michael leaves behind a son, Michael Louis Tramel, of Hurley, Mississippi, as well as his brother, Pat Tramel of Candler. The love and support they shared will continue to provide solace during this challenging period.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
