Michael Nanney
July 5, 1970 — March 5, 2004
Waynesville-Michael Jon ''Mikie'' Nanney, age 33, of Edwards Cove Road, died Friday, March 5, 2004 at Black Mountain Center.
He was a native of Haywood County. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bruce and Ruth Nanney. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Edwards Moore and her husband, Everett of Waynesville; his father, Robert J. Nanney of Clyde; his maternal grandparents, David and Edith Edwards of Waynesville; his sister, Julie Brittain and her husband, Patrick of Boone; and his nephew, Jacob Brittain.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2004 at the Bethel United Methodist Church with Reverend J. C. Grose, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2004 at Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services of Waynesville. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
