Michael Debruhl

Clyde, Michael Bruce DeBruhl, age 67, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014. A native of Buncombe County, and resident of Haywood County for the past three years, he was the son of the late Hobert and Grace Hopper DeBruhl and was also preceded in death by sisters, Carol Pheln and Vikki DeBruhl. He was a nurse and was formerly employed at the Golden Living Center in Asheville for ten years. He enjoyed woodworking and loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda Shuler DeBruhl; two daughters, Cynthia and Robin; four sisters, Patricia, Linda, Ruth, and Anita; one brother, Bennie; three grandchildren, Zachary, Timothy, Jackson; and a special nephew, Joey. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Rocky Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville from 12:30 until 1:15 p.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MedWest Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
