Merrilyn Wilder

Waynesville-Merrilyn P. Kolar Wilder, age 61, of 268 Powder-Horn Drive, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2006 at her residence peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Elgin, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Peryl Soper Haskin. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Jeanne Salsbury; and one grandson, Justin Kingsley. She is survived by her husband of seven years, Donald Wilder; one daughter, Lisa (Denis) Kingsley of Cornwall, Ontario, Canada; two sons, David (Joanne) Spencer and Jamie Spencer, all of Cornwall, Ontario, Canada; three stepdaughters, Teresa (Terry) Hardwick of Orange Park, FL, Denise (Jay) Rollins of Rocky Mount, NC and Jennifer Wilder of Scotland Neck, NC; one stepson, Richard (Spring) Wilder of Anchorage, Alaska; one grandson, Nicolas and ten step-grandchildren. A memorial service was held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2006 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home.
