Clyde – Memorie Griner Martin, 70, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Mission Memorial Campus.

Memorie was a native of Jacksonville, Florida and a daughter of Frances Griner Johnston of Atlantis, Florida and the late Herbert Griner.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Reverend Samuel H. Johnston.  Memorie was a graduate of Lake Worth High School and Palm Beach Junior College.  She had worked at Lowe’s in Waynesville for the past 15 years as a Commercial Credit specialist.  Memorie was also the vice president of installment lending at Barnett Bank in West Palm Beach, Florida and served as President and CEO of Exceptional Systems, Inc. in Lantana, Florida, which was a family business.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 50 years, Michael Martin; daughter, Melinda Danner (Robert) of Charleston, South Carolina; brother, Steven Griner (Sally) of Lake Worth, Florida; two grandchildren, Meadow and Nicholas; two nieces Jennifer and Sarah; and numerous aunts and uncles.

No more pain my sweet darling, no more pain, until we meet again not goodbye but goodnight until we wake together again on that beautiful morning.

At Memorie’s request no services will be held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
