Melia Brackett

Waynesville-Ann Brackett, age 72, of 297 Hendrix Street, died Monday, February 21, 2005 at her residence. A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of Gordon and Maudie Dailey Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marlor L. Brackett, who died in 2002; two brothers, Willie and Sheridan Morgan; and a sister, Ruby Morgan. She was an inspector at Wellco for eleven years and was a 4-H leader for many years. She enjoyed quilting and sewing and was of Baptist faith. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Brackett, of Jacksonville, FL; three sons, Mike Brackett and Arnold Brackett and his wife, Gloria, of Waynesville, and Bruce Brackett and his wife, Amelia, of Semora, NC; a sister; Lelia Burris, of Andrews, NC; a brother, Frank Morgan, of Murphy, NC; five grandchildren, Toni, Alora, Sarah, Jody, and Tiffany Brackett and her fiancé, Chris Rich; and two great grandchildren, Cody Brackett and Elijah Rich. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
