Maxine Clark Scott

Canton – Maxine C. Scott, 91, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.  She was the daughter of the late Edgar McDarius Clark and Vicie Mae Worley Clark.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Washington Scott in 2012; sister, Irene Willis, and brothers, Edgar Clark and James Clark.

She was a member of Rocky Face Baptist where she was pianist for the church for 77 years. 

Mrs. Scott is survived by her children, Mike Scott, Stephen Scott and his wife, Marcy, and Gary Scott and his wife, Karen; sister, Evelyne Parker; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Rocky Face Baptist Church with the Pastor Donnie Henson officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
