Max Allison

Waynesville-Max Gene Allison, age 72, of 35 Ned Cove Road, died Thursday, December 12, 2002 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County and the son of the Late Fred B. and Marie Ferguson Allison. He loved farming.

He is survived by two sons, Steve Allison and his wife, Barbara, and Van Allison and his wife, Kelly, both of Waynesville; two grandsons, Nicholas Allison and Max Allison, Jr.; and one step-grandson, Zachery Sharp.

Private funeral services are planned. Pallbearers will be Max Allison, Jr., Edwin Allison, Chad Walker, Claude Messer, Charles Caldwell, and Bryan Rich. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilber Owen, Darrell Mathis, Dean Howell, Don Sheehan, Jule Evans, and Bill Henline.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jonathan Valley First Responders, 110 Joe Carver Road, Waynesville, NC 28785.

Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
