Mary Moore

Mary Wise Moore Asheville - Mary Wise Moore, age 75, died Friday, May 9, 2008, at her residence. A native of Canton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Paul Wise. Mary was preceded in death by a son, Terrell Clayton Moore Jr., who died in 2003, and a brother, Raymond Wise. She had been employed by American Enka and Ingles and was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a very dear friend to all she met. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes and will be missed by all. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Terrell Clayton Moore Sr.; one daughter, Cheryl Smith of Asheville; one sister, Ora Belle Betscakos and her husband, Tony, of Massillion, OH; one brother, Howard Wise and his wife, Carol, of Canton, OH; one sister-in-law, Delores Wise of Canton, OH., two brothers-in-law, James Moore of Arden, and John Moore and his wife, Jeanette, of Etowah; stepmother, Faye Bezeck of Marion; and three grandchildren, Michael Davidson of Asheville, Melissa Jones of Knoxville, TN and Candace Moore of Georgia. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Ridgeway Baptist Church with the Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 Monday at Wells Funeral Home in Canton. Memorials may be made to Ridgeway Baptist Church, 525 Old US 19/23 Hwy., Candler, NC 28715.
