MARY SORRELLS

Waynesville-Mary Love Stiles Sorrells, age 72, of 28 Lauren Drive died Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late James and Novella Crawford Stiles. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Sorrells, who died in 1977; a sister, Oday Robinson; and four brothers, Roy, Gene, Clifford, and Rufus Stiles. She was a retired housekeeper with Lake Junaluska Assembly with 17 years service. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, and working puzzles.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy S. Morgan, and her husband, David, and Catherine Parker, both of Canton; three sisters, Mattie Plunkett, of Ft. Meyers, Florida, Gladys Hudgins of Hazelwood, and Carrie Shuler of Balsam; a brother, Ernest Stiles, of Salisbury, NC; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2003 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Red Bank Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 02, 2003 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be John Price, Ronnie Shuler, Scotty Medford, Rick and William Stiles, and Anthony Medford.
