Mary Hardin

Waynesville- Ruth S. Hardin, age 90, died Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Kirksey, SC and was the daughter of the late Kelly and Nealia Lail Stephens. She was a member of the Clyde First Baptist Church and a former member of Eastern Star and Home Demonstration Club. She loved to read and to work with crafts. Ruth is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joseph Hardin; a daughter, Jean Long and her husband, Harold of Waynesville; a sister Katie Lou Medford of Clyde; two grandchildren, Jody Long and his wife, Tracy and Cammy Woodbery and her husband, Jason; three great-grandchildren Wesley Woodbery, Lyndsey and Cody Long and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2007 at Clyde First Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
