Mary Penland

Mary Jones Penland, 72, of Candler, passed away on Sunday, July 15th. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Matilda Warren Jones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Lee Jones.
She is survived by her son, John Russell Jones; siblings, John Jones of Black Mountain, Wayne and Delsie Jones of Swannanoa, Ann Brown of Asheville, Buddy and Brenda Jones of Leicester and Beverly and Arthur Dodd of Candler and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 19th at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler with Rev. David Pressley officiating.
