Mary Lanning

Canton – Mary Jane Jenkins Lanning, age 74, of the Bethel community, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Mission Hospitals – Memorial Campus. A native of Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Berlin and Kathryn Kurtz Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. She was employed with Dayco International for 18 years and was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. In Mary Jane's life, there was nothing more important to her than being with her family, her faith, and serving others and being an active member of her loving church family. She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Lanning and her companion, David Deaver, of Canton and Robyn Martin and her husband, Bill, of Radford, Virginia; six sons, Roy Lanning, Jr. of Clyde and his companion, Loretta Sims, of Greenville, South Carolina, Ronald Lanning of Waynesville, Randy Lanning and his wife, Tammy, of Clyde, Roger Lanning and his wife, Renea, of Canton, Rodney Lanning and his wife, Kathy, of Dahllonega, Georgia, and Richard Lanning and his wife, Dorraine, of Canton; three brothers, Bill Jenkins of Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, Ben Jenkins of Watsontown, Pennsylavania, and Kenny Paul Fraboni of Danville, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Harmony Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Winfred Bennett, Reverend Chad Bennett, and Reverend Mark Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Saturday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
