Mary Green

Waynesville-Mary Jo Cutshaw Green, age 73, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Autumn Care Nursing Home.<br><br>A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Lillie Mae Evans Cutshaw. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Leonard Green, who died October 3, 2006. She retired from Wellco Enterprises and was a member of Rocky Branch Freewill Baptist Church. She was a very loving wife, great mother and grandmother and a wonderful provider to her family. The family would like to express a heartfelt "thank you" to the staff of Autumn Care for the care they gave to Mary Jo.<br><br>She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Trantham and Kathy Jo Price, both of Waynesville; one son, Terry Leonard Green and his wife, Iva of Clyde; one sister Edna Miller and her husband, Ernest and a brother, Everett Cutshaw, all of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Joey and Marie Trantham and Emily Trantham; one great-granddaughter, Madison Trantham; two step-grandchildren, Rodney of GA and Tina of Forest City; a step-great granddaughter, Chelsea and several nieces and nephews. <br><br>Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Denny Crowe, Reverend Jerry Nelson, Reverend Harry Worley and Reverend Charlie Creasman, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center-Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.<br>
