Martha Ferguson

Fines Creek Community, Martha Fleming Ferguson, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at her residence. A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Beulah Norwood Fleming. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty McMahan and Linda Willett; two brothers, John and Bob Fleming. Martha worked as a CNA at Haywood Rest Home and was the Assistant Manager of KFC in Maggie Valley for 8 years. Martha was a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed canning, going to the beach and watching her grandchildren show horses. Martha is survived by her husband of 50 years, Phil Ferguson; one son, Phil Ferguson, Jr. (Camala); five sisters, Jean Mustaro, Lois Waldroup, Marie Myers (Bruce), Peggy Balding (Erwin), and Kathy Duckett; two brothers, Ricky Fleming (Sandy) and Fred Fleming; three grandchildren, Jackson Ferguson (Marissa), Brooke and Allie Ferguson. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Panther Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Ronald Greene and Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the church.
