Martha Coltrane

Martha McCarson Coltrane, age 51, of Birch Street passed away at her home after a long battle with breast cancer. She was a native of Buncombe County and the daughter of the later Arden and Ruth Ann Crain McCarson. She was a loving wife and devoted mother. She will be greatly missed and always loved. If you look to the sky there is a new star shining above us. We love you and miss you already. She is survived by her husband of eight years, James “Jim” William Coltrane; a daughter Andi Spencer and her husband, Robbie, of Asheville; two sons, Jason Gipson and his wife, Jennifer, of Chattanooga, TN and Jeremy Gipson and his wife, Heather, of Cartersville, GA; and three grandchildren, Jayden, Jack, and Jonah. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2008, at Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Canton.
