Martha Trantham Brown, born November 1, 1936, in Haywood County, NC, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, in Chuckey, TN, where she has made her home for the past twenty years. Martha’s life was a testament to faith, family, and a steadfast devotion to those she held dear.

Raised in a loving household by her parents, Marion and Virginia Trantham, Martha grew up alongside her brothers, Owen and Larry Trantham. The values instilled in her by her family remained a guiding force throughout her life. She was united in marriage with Frank Brown, with whom she shared 45 years of companionship until his passing in 2000.

Professionally, Martha dedicated herself to her work at ITT Automotive, where she served as a Brake System Assembler. Her commitment and diligence made her a respected member of her workplace, and she was known for her unwavering work ethic.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Martha’s faith and sense of community played an essential role in her life. She was an active member of Morningstar Baptist Church in Limestone, TN, drawing strength and comfort from her church family. Whether gathered around the family table or among friends and fellow church members, Martha’s warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Martha found profound joy in her role as a mother and grandmother. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Erlene Strickland, and Shelly Hensley, a son, Ronnie Brown (Kathy), as well as her cherished grandchildren: Josh Brown, Jayme Pressley (Brian Tullock), Lauran Brown, Jessica Given, and Brandon Hensley along with seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
