Marlene Parker

Candler - Marlene Parker, age 58, died Tuesday, August 07, 2007 at Britthaven Nursing Home of Franklin after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was a native of Haywood County but had resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a daughter of the late William and Evelyn Reece Hampton and was an avid reader and loved to draw. She is survived by one son, Paul A. Parker of Kentucky; two sisters, Rosalie Marvel of Indiana and Velma Jean Bobacher of Florida; three brothers, Ronnie, William and Perry Hampton all of Candler and three grandchildren, Kobe, Cassandra, and Christian Parker. Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2007 at a private residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Britthaven Nursing Home of Franklin, 3195 Old Murphy Road, Franklin, NC 28744.
