Mark Robert Snyder, 67, of Hendersonville, passed away on June 14, 2024, at Elizabeth House in Hendersonville, NC. He was born on December 30, 1956, in Tacoma, Washington, to the late Jack and Luverne Snyder.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of many years, Sarah Anderson Snyder.

Mark was a man of admirable character and integrity. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he took immense pride in his military service as well as being a dedicated member of the New Beginning World outreach church. Throughout his life, he carried himself with a quiet strength and a sense of duty that inspired all who had the privilege of knowing him. Mark's unwavering commitment to his career as a truck driver was matched only by his affection for family and his cherished service in the US Navy aboard the USS Kitty Hawk for 8 years. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, loyalty, and unwavering love that will continue to inspire generations to come.

Mark will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, his beloved daughter Rachel Diane Sandi (Major Angel Antonio Sandi Jr.); devoted sons Brandon Matthew Snyder (Lori Snyder) and Sean Bryan Snyder; stepdaughters Melody Ray and Lora Ray; brothers John Snyder and Dewayne Snyder; as well as his treasured grandchildren Kaydence Cecelia Sandi, Aaden Antonio Sandi, and Mia "Dani" Snyder.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 962 Old US Hwy 70, Black Mountain, North Carolina, with Pastor Tom Burke officiating with the burial to follow. 

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Wells Chapel of Faith, 1 Chapel of Faith Drive, Candler, North Carolina, prior to the service.
