Mark Gantt

Mark S. Gantt, 61, of Candler passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021.  A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of Howard Gantt and the late Martha Maynard Gantt.

Mark was a 1978 graduate of Enka High School where he was a wrestler.  He went on to attend Columbia University in New York City.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister, Debra Gantt Gay (Travis); brother, James Alan Gantt; niece, Aspen Morgan; nephew, Jacob Gantt and a great niece, Maxine Grace Mauney.

The family will have a time of sharing from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021, in the Wells Chapel of Faith, 1 Chapel of Faith Drive, Candler, NC.

The care of Mr. Gantt has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler.
