Mark Franklin

Mark Franklin, age 50, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of Tom and Janet Franklin. Mark was a loving husband and a devoted father. He enjoyed outdoor activities like camping, hiking, fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Donna Smith Franklin; one son, Luke Franklin; one daughter, Toni Grace Franklin; one sister, Carrie Franklin Medford; and one brother, Brian Milner Franklin. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Bethel United Methodist Church with the Reverend Daniel P. Stiles officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Immediately following the service, family and friends are invited to gather at Mark and Donna's home. Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Canton is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests plants that will be planted in a memorial garden at Mark and Donna's home.
