Marjorie Lorton

Waynesville, NC - Marjorie Smith Lorton, age 99, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Haywood Lodge and Retirement Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde E. Lorton. After marrying, they spent most of their lives in Indianapolis, Indiana before retiring to St. Petersburg, Florida where she was very active in the Boca Ciego Point community and also attended Suncoast Community Church in Largo, Florida. She loved traveling and playing canasta and bingo. Marjorie will most be remembered for her beautiful smile and her generous and giving spirit. Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Kathy Kendrick and her husband, Dick, of Waynesville and her grandson, Ryan Kendrick and his wife, Natalie, of Nashville, Tennessee.
