Marie Dotson

Williams Dotson, age 79, of Central, SC, died Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Easley Baptist Hospital, Easley, SC. She was a native of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late Boyce McCracken and Della McElrath Stuart. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Herman Kelly "Hub" Williams, who died in 1991, and by a grandson, Eric Rogers. Marie was employed for 45 years with American Enka and BASF. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Wesleyan Church and attended Trinity Wesleyan Church in Central, SC. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, J. K. Dotson; two daughters, Brenda Rogers and Della Williams, both of Candler; a sister, Lois Oxendine, of Inman, SC; a brother, George Stuart, of Canton; three half sisters, Alma Hord of Clyde, Claudette Swan of Asheville and Maxine Jarvis of Candler; a step-mother, Gertrude Wiggins Stuart of Canton; two grandchildren, Glenn Rogers and Scott Rogers and two great-grandchildren, Halle Rogers and Whitney Rogers. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2007, at Mt. Moriah Wesleyan Church with the Reverend Don Millstead and Reverend William James officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
