"Precious Mom - Nan Bell"

Waynesville, North Carolina, Mae Bell Robinson Truitt Parham, age 87, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Autumn Care Nursing Home.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Dwayne and Lou Ellen Miller Robinson. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Howard Truitt; a sister, Rose Muse; and a brother, Charlie Robinson.

Bell worked in ticket sales for 19 years at Ghost Town in Maggie Valley. She enjoyed her job and met many country music stars. Bell's pride and joy in life was her family. She loved sending cards and prayed for all her friends and family. Her health problems eventually defeated her body, but never her spirit. She will be forever remembered as a sweet, loving mother, Nan and Great Grandmother and will be greatly missed. Bell was a member of the Hazelwood Baptist Church and a true believer in her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. She loved reading her Bible and writing poetry.

Bell is survived by her three daughters, Carol Truitt Lloyd and her husband, John, S.M. Sgt., USAF (Ret) of Baneberry, TN, Ellen Truitt Pitt and her husband Russell of Maggie Valley, Rene� Truitt Meade and her husband, Charlie of Inverness, FL; a sister, Louise Cochran of Waynesville; and a brother, Robert Dwayne (Bud) Robinson, C.M. Sgt., USAF (Ret) and his wife, Cindi of Sumter, SC; four grandchildren, Stuart Dean Curtis, Maj., U.S. Army (Ret.) and his wife, Tia of Leavenworth, KS, Michael McClure of Waynesville, Mary Holtz and her husband, Joey of Charleston, SC, Caleb Meade and his wife, April of Inverness, FL; 12 great grandchildren; many special nieces, nephews, cousins and a step-daughter, Becky Parham.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Cullen officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. prior at the funeral home.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Hazelwood Baptist Church, 265 Hazelwood Avenue, Waynesville, NC 28786 as well as to North Hazelwood Baptist Church, 809 Hazelwood Avenue, Waynesville, NC, 28786.

Many thanks go out to Dr. John Stringfield and all the loving staff at the Autumn Care Nursing Home in Waynesville.
