Music was at the heart of Madison’s life.

Madison Lee Rogers passed away on September 19, 2026, just days before his twenty-sixth birthday. Born on September 24, 2000, Madison was the son of the late John Cecil Rogers and Mildred Corn Rogers. Madison brought a bright spirit, a keen mind, and a deep love of music into the lives of all who knew him.

Madison is now reunited with his father, John Cecil Rogers, who preceded him in death. His memory, along with that of his father, will be cherished and carried forward by his devoted mother, Mildred Rogers, whose love remains an enduring bond.

In addition to his mother, Madison is survived by his siblings: Sarah Cole (Doug), Jeff Rogers (Marilyn), Cheri Austin (Keith), and Leo Tyus, all of Candler, and Victoria Wilson of Asheville. He is also survived by his nephews, Stephen Cole, Jeremy Rogers, Johnathan Austin, and Christopher Austin. Madison dearly loved his four great-nieces and great-nephews and shared a particularly special bond with his buddy, Aiden.

Music was at the heart of Madison’s life. An avid drummer and lover of all genres of music, he found both expression and joy through rhythm, sound, and song. His passion for music was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of who he was. Madison was also a devoted UNC Tar Heels basketball fan and enjoyed following the excitement, tradition, and camaraderie of the game. His love of music and sports spanned his lifetime. He graduated from Enka High School in 2019, then went on to attend UNC Chapel Hill.
