Lula Metcalf

Asheville- Lula Faye Trull Metcalf, age 85, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Mission Memorial Hospital. A native of Haywood County, she is the daughter of the late George Perry and Dicie Emiline Dills Trull. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Alice Farmer and a son, Ronald Gerald Metcalf. Lula was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church and will be missed by many. She is survived by two daughters, Martha Chandler and her husband, Perry, and Kay Leeson, all of Asheville; a sister, Peggy Machan of Fletcher; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend David Scruggs officiating. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
