Canton, Louise Stamey, 74, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Ruth Glance Yarborough.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Yarborough . Louise was survived by her husband of 55 years, David Stamey, who passed away the following day.

Louise enjoyed preaching, going to church, reading her bible, singing and spending time with her family.  She was the minister at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Canton for more than 25 years and attended The Church of God.

Louise is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Grahl, and her husband, Derrick; son, David “Eddie” Stamey Jr.; sister Glenda Stanley; two brothers, Lynn Yarborough and Everette Yarborough; and two grandchildren, Todd Grahl and Colton Hightower.

A joint graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Pisgah View Memorial Park with Pastor Terry Green officiating.

The care of Mrs. Stamey has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville and an online memorial register is available at "Obituaries" at www.wellsfuneralhome.com
